Science of Acâhkosak at TELUS World of Science
Dr. Paulina Johnson shared Nêhiyawak star teachings in the Zeidler Dome, exploring connections between sky, water, life, and responsibility.
On July 8, 2026, Dr. Paulina Johnson presented Science of Acâhkosak (Stars) in the Zeidler Dome at TELUS World of Science – Edmonton.
As the 2026 Science Fellowship winner, Dr. Johnson invited visitors to look to the stars through science and Indigenous Knowledge. Through Nêhiyawak star teachings, the presentation explored connections between sky, water, life, and our responsibilities to the world around us.
The evening created space for people of all ages to learn how stories held in the sky can guide relationships with water, nature, and one another.
