Our Mission
Build a legacy with and for Indigenous peoples that showcases the impact of their knowledge and ways of living and highlights the importance of being good relatives for people outside the community.
Positionality
We are a diverse group of researchers led by Nêhiyaw scholar Dr. Paulina Johnson, based at the University of Alberta.
Relationship building and Ceremony guide our work. We aim to uphold Treaty while nurturing the spirit of our work: respect, humility, love, and fun.
Research Highlight
The Auntie Is In podcast is not your typical podcast. It is a living intellectual tradition rooted in Nêhiyawak thought, storytelling, lived experience, and layered narrative methodology, while highlighting resonances and dissonances between Indigenous and Western pedagogies.
Research Team
Our team brings together people working across research, coordination, knowledge-sharing, and community-connected practice. Each team member contributes to the lab’s commitments in different ways, while working within a shared ethic of respect, accountability, and care.

The Knowledge Hub is being curated to share selected resources, project-related materials, and public-facing knowledge that support learning, collaboration, and community connection. This section will grow over time as materials are prepared for release.
