Blue Sky Research Lab at NAISA 2026
Blue Sky Research Lab members travelled to Temuco, Wallmapu, for NAISA 2026. Flight disruptions meant the planned presentation could not go ahead, but some team members were still able to attend, listen, and connect.
From July 22 to 24, 2026, Blue Sky Research Lab members joined the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association annual conference in Temuco, Wallmapu.
Held at the Universidad Católica de Temuco, the gathering marked the first time NAISA’s annual conference took place in Abya Yala. Under the theme Memories, Territories and Movements, Indigenous scholars, community members, artists, and leaders came together from across the world.
The team had planned to present at the conference, but flight disruptions prevented the presentation from going ahead as scheduled. Some members were still able to reach Temuco and participate as attendees.
Although the trip did not unfold as planned, the members who attended were able to listen, learn, and connect with people carrying research and community work across many Nations and territories.
